Maxxis Sweeps Best in the Desert Parker 250 ATV Race

1/12/2012

Best in the Desert’s Parker 250 podium belonged to Maxxis as riders on the company’s tires took all three top spots in Pro Quad. The race was held January 7 in Parker, Arizona.

After drawing the last-place starting position, defending champs David Scott and Danny Prather of the Maxxis 1Q team waged an aggressive battle for the lead, grabbing the front spot by the third lap and holding it for the rest of the race. “The course was rough, rocky and narrow,” said Prather. “Best in the Desert had recently graded the course through the usual rock garden and turned it silty with lots of square edges. Our bike was working flawlessly, and I was able to push hard. Our Maxxis tires worked great, and we did not get any flats all day.”

CT Racing, with team member Nick Nelson and substitute rider Beau Baron, took the second place spot on Maxxis tires as well. Rounding out the podium, Josh Edwards and Matthew Hancock of the Pro-ATV Store’s 8Q team took third place.

Maxxis congratulates David Scott and Danny Prather on their victory and thanks Nick Nelson, Beau Baron, Josh Edwards and Matthew Hancock for their fine performances.
