Creamer and Wimmer 1 & 2 at ATV MX Round 9
7/20/2010Maxxis riders Josh Creamer and Dustin Wimmer were back on the podium at the Unadilla ATV MX, taking first and second place overall. The event was held July 17-18 in New Berlin, New York.
Third place in moto 1 and a win in moto 2 netted Creamer the weekend’s top spot, while Wimmer finished second and fourth in the two races. Both Creamer and Wimmer chose orange-label Razr MX rear tires for their soft compound and 4-ply rated construction in the rough conditions. “The track got pretty rough,” Creamer said. “It had a lot of rocks and jagged stuff in it. It got really hard-packed, and it was a tough track to pass on, but I was able to keep my lines tight.”
The Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki riders have won seven of the series’ nine rounds to date, with six of those victories going to Creamer. Creamer has racked up 401 points, and Wimmer has earned 371.
Maxxis rider Jeremy Lawson also did well at Unadilla, taking sixth place overall (8-5 in motos). In the Pro Am Production class, Maxxis’ Joel Hetrick won both motos to take the overall class win. Hetrick is currently second in Pro Am points.
Maxxis congratulates Josh Creamer on his latest victory and thanks all of its riders for their outstanding performances.
