Tire and Rubber Material Development and Application Engineer

Degreed Engineering professional will represent Maxxis to our Original Equipment (OE) business, providing technical support. Duties include:

Develop and evaluate rubber compounds for tire application. Understanding polymer physical properties, chemistry and visco-elastic properties is a must. Also need a solid technical background with polymer and rubber material application in tires and capable of developing and establishing testing methods and procedures for rubber compound.

Provide technical support to North American OE business. Support OE business in North America as a member of the global technical team. Attendance at regular business meetings with existing and potential OE customers as technical support for sales is required. Strong communication with OE customers on technical issues.
Tire testing program coordinator. Coordinate and participate in the North America tire testing program. Plan and schedule auto tire related tests and complete reports.

BS/MS degree must be held in Chemical, Polymer, or Material/Mechanical engineering. 2-years experience in rubber compound testing and development for tire application is the minimum. Strong analysis and judgment skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is essential. Must be able to handle the physical aspects of the job and travel is necessary.
